L-Asparaginase 10,000 IU Lyophilized Powder for Inj (IM/IV)
Induction of remissions in acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
1,000 u/kg IV daily for 10 days after treatment w/ vincristine & prednisone or prednisolone or 6,000 u/m2 IM given every 3rd day for 9 doses during treatment w/ vincristine & prednisone or prednisolone. Alternatively, it may be given as pegaspargase in doses of 2,500 u/m2 every 14 days preferably by IM (although may be given by IV). Adult & childn Induction agent 200 u/kg IV daily for 28 days.
